People First now exposing their true colours they are still Zanu PF - analyst

A political commentator Zexie Mashonga has said the Joice Mujuru led People First is now showing its true identity that it is still Zanu PF following media reports that its spokesperson Rugare Gumbo attacked MDC-T leader Morgan Tsvangirai.

Mashonga said Zanu PF people masquerading as a New opposition outfit People First are now showing their true Zanu pf colours.

"I remember Setfree Mafukidze saying starting from next week they are going to start dealing Tsvangirai and he challenge me to watch the space," he said.

In a story titled 'Gumbo Attacks Tsvangirai' Gumbo said MDC leader Morgan Tsvangirai does not qualify to lead the grand coalition of opposition parties expected to topple President Robert Mugabe from power in the 2018 plebiscite.

Gumbo who was in Masvingo last Saturday to meet the Masvingo Urban executive told reporters after the meeting Mujuru was the best candidate to lead the coalition - not Tsvangirai.

Gumbo said it was vital to come up with the grand coalition but was quick to say those who come to join People First should bear in mind the top post was occupied by Mujuru.

He added if Tsvangirai and his party members intended to join Mujuru, they would be given other posts to occupy.
