Hubby burns house down as wife refuses him to read her letter

A suspicious letter addressed to a wife in Gweru forced her hubby to douse their house with petrol before setting it on fire.
Kudzai Muhuni is now in court for arson and assault.
The court heard that the couple had just returned from Kwekwe when they saw a letter addressed to the wife, who is a teacher.
The husband then demanded to know the contents of the letter but she refused and that angered the hubby.
Mahuni , the court heard that he became violent and took a two litre container full of petrol and sprinkled the fuel in the bedroom, the sofas and the kitchen chairs.He then lit.
However, Mahuni suddenly teamed up with his family to put out the fire.
Afterwards the wife made a police report that led to Mahuni to be arrested and pleaded not guilty to arson and remanded to May 28.
Property worth $116 was destroyed.
