Plumtree man assaults grandmother over witchcraft

A 26-YEAR-OLD Plumtree man is in trouble after he assaulted his grandmother with an iron bar after accusing her of bewitching him.
Admire Nyathi was dragged to Plumtree magistrates courts on Thursday where he appeared before magistrate Joshua Nembaware.
Nembaware remanded Nyathi in custody to January 24.
The state led by Selestine Madziwa alleged on January 9 the suspect picked an iron bar and went to his grandmother.
He found her standing and accused her of bewitching him before assaulting her once on the head with the iron bar.
After the assault, he tried to run away but people chased after him and took him to the police station.
