PLUMTREE - A 27‑year‑old man has been arrested in Plumtree after allegedly stabbing the fenders of an aircraft ten times with a kitchen knife.
The accused, Kwazinkosi Tshuma, appeared before Magistrate Joshua at Plumtree Magistrates' Court, where he was remanded in custody to 9 December.
Prosecutor Sheila Nyathi told the court that on 11 October, aircraft owner Collen Donavan had left his plane at Ndlowane Airstrip under the care of security guard Godfrey Dhlamini.
Tshuma reportedly armed himself with a knife and attacked the aircraft, stabbing its fenders repeatedly. He was later arrested and brought before the courts.
The motive behind the attack was said to be jealousy.
