Douglas Mwonzora issues statement on Boaz Mangamiso (and gets a bashing)

MDC T Spokesperson Douglas Mwonzora has issued an official statement about the party's Facebook enthusiast calling himself MDC T Spokesperson Boaz Mangamiso.

And defiant Mangamiso does not hesitate to respond.

Writes Mr Mwonzora: It has come to my attention that a certain person writing using the name Boaz Mangamiso is posting publications purporting to be the MDC-T spokesman.

I want to advise everybody that I have absolutely no knowledge of this person nor am I privy to the reason why he or she has decided to use my official title. Suffice to say that this person does not act or speak on my behalf nor does he hold any brief from me. His or her ideas do not represent my ideas.

I want to state further that this person does not officially speak for the MDC or its President Morgan Tsvangirai. Our president stands for truth, justice and honour. He subscribes to the sacred values of freedom, democracy and justice.

Neither our president nor my self stands for hate language against our opponents outside the party or members of our party who do not agree with us. It is the height of injustice to portray Morgan Tsvangirai as being intolerant to dissent when in fact he was the first person to say that party members were free to discuss leadership renewal within the party platforms.

Of course it is not fair to the serious minded members of the MDC to discuss leadership of the party in the press. The MDC has a historic obligation to deliver Zimbabwe from poverty and misery. We must unite under the leadership of our President Morgan Tsvangirai to make sure that we lead our people to the promised land. And, Victory is certain!

It is us e POVO who create our leaders as we vote them into offices giving them the mandate to represent us and TALK on our behalf.

If you are the SPOKESPERSON (you are) not (allowed) to sleep. If our leaders sleep that is when you get SHADOW SPOKESPERSONS like the hard working Boaz Mangamiso who doesn't wait for Herald to ask for an interview ... what if they don't come? We wait for information weeks on end...

I didn't mean to offend you . I was defending the party and it's brand with all means possible . NGENKANI .

More drama and more drama coming out of the MDC T everyday. The party is surely turning to be a very pale shadow of that once great movement in the year 2000 when it took the country by storm.
