TEN schoolgirls from Tokwana High School in Bulilima have been reportedly expelled from school as a result of pregnancy, a local tabloid publication reports.

Among the ten girls, reports state, one is the deputy head's daughter who was doing form 3 at the school.

A reliable source said the wayward girls have been sacked from the school about two weeks ago. Reports state that most of the girls were doing form 3 and 4 and were expelled after school authorities discovered that they were gravid.

School authorities, reports state, have blamed the community for not taking a step in instilling moral values on the 'adventurous' girls.

The schoolhead, identified only as Moyo dismissed reports as a farce. Matabeleland South director Tumisang Thabela also professed ignorance about the matter.

Schoolboys from a nearby school, Plumtree High School, were also expelled after they were caught clubbing at night.
