Disunity, confusion, cluelessness and power hunger = 3 coalitions

One would say we want change and yes it is time to bring the necessary change we have been yearning for the past decades under one man rule yet in the face of that opportunity we become even more divided. All you hear is I want to be the one in charge, my party has more followers or supporters - whatever you call them. All you hear is he or she is an agent of the current government so we can't form a coalition with him or her, all you hear is we have a better agenda than the rest, what a shame and frankly I pity all these oppositions. No one among them has the sense or rather that sacrifice expected of a leader. Maybe they had in the past but somehow lost it as time passed. With this division, we can kiss goodbye to freedom we thought we may finally attain, through an opposition unseating the current government, removing the dictator and his corrupt cronies.
You still hear someone saying MDC Alliance is the formidable opposition, people wake up, every vote that the opposition can pull is critical to the cause and so all coalitions are important and need to be one FORCE. How stupid are these leaders or at least unlearned, if they can't learn from the past- Tsvangirai and Makoni could have unseat Mugabe if they formed a united front party to go head on with Mugabe but they each think they can pull the trigger individually- guess what that won't happen. This very same event is about to be repeated and unless the three coalitions, the MDC alliance of Tsvangirai, the People Rainbow Coalition of Mujuru and the Coalition of Democrats of Mangoma come together and elect one sole leader under one united umbrella, we are well disjointed and wasting our time. It could be a good starting point to have people sit and talk BUT knowing greedy leaders we have this could just be my dream- I hope they will dig deeper into their conscience. I am fighting hard to make it come true though. Otherwise these politicians are just playing with our minds and probably indeed agents of the state. If they are not let them prove me wrong and be united- we have suffered enough as Zimbabweans.
We are tired of being a laughing stock. To some extent we have become so content with it as it is the reality that we are a sovereign nation with a reserve bank but guess what without its own currency, a country where the mass ululates when the first lady disrespect and denigrates elders or even others no matter their status- we laugh at it, a nation where we live in fear of the going back to 2008 and years around it. We need the Zimbabwe that used to shine above all in Africa, the breadbasket of Africa, the sunshine city welcoming everyone without prejudice and a corrupt free nation. Lets fight for freeing Zimbabwe and not position of power. Fighting the position of power is exhausting the people and no wonder why their is no motivation to go and register, it is simply that the opposition has turned into another Zanu PF where it is only about power and not leadership. Lest us the people decide not a few individual in the leadership. It is time to say a big NO to the Mugabe one man rule and that little Mugabe attitude that we are currently seeing in the opposition politicians. It is very bad, you better change now otherwise its again selling our vote. We have to or rather we MUST be united and we need everyone to rally for one united opposition- otherwise it is a waste of time! We need pursuit of the national agenda and not these petty individualism or partisan interests. Serious what is wrong with us, the simplest thing we all ought to do is for once unite and fight together for our future, for the future of our children and all generations to come. Surely they will spit at us as a failed generation comprising of the so many educated and learned people who are either leaders or advisors. Why do we find it so hard to love one another and put our past behind. This should come so easily and it is not love of your party or colleagues that matter now and at this juncture but the absolute love of Zimbabwe and freeing the suffering Zimbabweans.
Going down to the grassroots, if only you knew what all those people who attend your rallies eat daily, how much they sacrifice just to be present to show their support and how long they walk to attend those rallies and yet today we don't see that remorse as you are all for your individualism. Come on people think again. At the end of the day, you are planting near to nil motivation upon people who are keen and crying for change, majority will abstain because they see it as a waste of time, energy and above all they cant continue to sacrifice their lives for people who don't care about the real change.
It is at times like this when we can say the opposition is literally selling our freedom for their on self centered-ness. Why can't all top leaders of the coalitions meet and plan a proper way forward dictated by democracy and vote from which the outright winner from the top cast represent the oppositions and all move forward as a united front. It is not about me and my people, this fight is about Zimbabwe and its people - not about individuals nor a group of people but the PEOPLE as a whole. Until we understand what we are fighting for, all this is a joke and mockery of those in the grassroots who have sacrificed a lot only to be laughed at. You leaders live a luxurious life and the reality down there in the grassroots should mean something.
If we can't see the urgency need to rebuild Zimbabwe now before it completely collapses, surely we are living in our own cocoons. Nearly all hospitals and clinics have massive short supply of clean running water, to the extent that the doctors more often than not have to postpone emergency operations such as caesarean as they cannot wash their hands, what more do we need to see. We are dying from curable disease and circumstances due to lack of medicines in hospitals e.g. simple pain killers and to some extent unmotivated personnel. The country's medical facilities are indeed in intensive care as the president of the Hospital Doctors' Association described it, I can't agree any less. All this we can fix but we have to speak in one voice, act as one united front and together we can make Zimbabwe a great nation again. So I conclude by urging all the three coalitions and others lingering on their own hoping to make a miracle, come together and form a united front for the sake of Zimbabwe, for our sake, our children's, their future and the future generations.
