Will Mugabe's National Patriotic Front project pull the trigger

As we welcome the entrance of the new kid on the block National Patriotic Front into the Zimbabwe's political landscape, we expect voters to critically interrogate the motive behind such mushrooming of political parties.
Zimbabwe is not suffering from a shortage of political parties but needs a sound socio-political and economic growth in order to achieve the millennium development goals. Zimbabweans are sick and tired of having recycled leaders year in and year out.
The birth of the National Patriotic Front was through bitterness and was driven by personal egos. The party must be sternly warned that it is not going to be a stroll in the park as people have opened their eyes.
Its interim leader Retired Brigadier Ambrose Mutinhiri who has resigned from Zanu-PF citing unconstitutional conduct of the military and his firm belief in the "sanctity of democratic ethos and constitutionalism that put our people as the only source of legitimacy in the governance structures from local to national levels." He also expressed his unhappiness with the militarisation of Zimbabwe's national politics and how it is a matter of national urgency to restore "normalcy, democracy constitutionalism and legitimacy in Zimbabwe."
Inasmuch as his letter is clear in terms of propagating and respecting constitutionalism but it is void of real fundamentals of democracy. He has the brains of a fish and quickly forgot that the same army which he had accused of removing Mugabe from power was the same army which declared that it will never salute anybody without war credentials. So today why all this hullabaloo?
Ambrose Mutinhiri is just a bitter man, because he lost his ministerial post from Mnangagwa's new administration and thinks that he can bounce back into the political gravy train through another political outfit NPF. His patron Robert Mugabe played around with some constitutional clauses. He was the president of the country by default and manipulated his way to leadership.
Retired Brigadier Ambrose Mutinhiri must be reminded that Mugabe refused to surrender power to the winner the late Morgan Tsvangirai. This generation cannot be fooled again by these corrupt, heartless and egoistic political turncoats.
The removal of the nonagenarian Robert Mugabe from power last year in November was done unconstitutionally yes, but it was long over due because Mugabe was no longer in control and had lost the campus of the party. He scored an own goal by introducing one centre of power thereby creating enemies with everybody who opposed him and he did not tolerate anyone who challenged him.
This new political baby is likely to suffer a still birth and must strongly convince the electorate on why they should be voted into power.
Retired Brigadier- General Ambrose Mutinhiri, who was thrust to the leadership of the former first family's political project dubbed the New Patriotic Front, is believed to be a sellout, who took a sabbatical from the country's politics in 1980. He was just an ordinary man stayin in Makene Lusaka Zambia.
This political outfit risk to be morphed into the political doldrums and quagmire as people are still smarting up from what transpired in November 2017. Who will vote for any party associated with a former Zanu-PF president who refused many political parties their rights to express themselves.
Voters are not easily swayed and the majority remain loyal to their parties. This is another mission of vote swaying which is likely to give an upper hand to MDC-T Alliance if the put their house in order. It is a threat to Zanu-PF as most of its supporters were disgruntled by what happened last year. One cannot doubt that some of these legislators are career politicians and do not care about the suffering majority.
Over the last twenty or so more years the worn away administration which claiming to be the champions of democracy has not given the youths a transitional period to lead this country
Mugabe's administration was hinged on corruption, nepotism incompetent and greedy political bootlickers who have stolen and amassed wealthy from the poor. Mugabe failed to reign in errant ministers who absconded parliamentary duties. Retired Brigadier Mutinhiri and his old man must retire from active politics. 2018 election is going to be full of surprises.
