What value systems, dignity and integrity does Mnangagwa know? Stuff and nonsense!

In Shona, I would have said: Ndiko kunonzi kujairira Vahnu uku! This man can just open his mouth wotanga kubukura, ogo bukura ogo bukura! A Portuguese adage says: even a small ass can do it if a stomachache needs to empty lower bowel products. My God! what dignity and integrity does this man called Mnangagwa know? It is sinking now what it means to live under a despotic regime we have in Zimbabwe. It means swallowing garbage everyday until it is normalized in your psyche. This man has no shame and remorse left in his conscience. In his life he has committed crimes unimaginable by common sense: Gukurahundi atrocities mark his history-making. Causing harm to the innocent does not shock his inner recesses of his conscience. He has murdered thousands and can afford to live, sleep without a tinge of remorse.
The so-called third world citizens are in a tight: Geo-politics together with globalization have turned world affairs upside down. There are no big brothers to turn to in dire circumstances regarding human rights atrocities from our countries of origin. The western countries, who were once beacons of democracies and human rights are deeply found wanting. The war in Ukraine exposes the duplicity of western democracy. It's not Ukraine alone that diverted values of democracy and human rights' shortcomings; the fall of Berlin Wall had serious ramifications: just when we thought the cold war has come to an end and the so-called first world will craft a new world order that includes Russia in its security architectures clearing future threats to nuclear armaments and destruction of the entire earth, we are at the edge of yet another threat of global destruction: to be precise, at the 11th hour of nuclear destruction. Third World War is now spoken about as if we are saying: lets go to MacDonald to eat a big Mac at bargain price! Just saying!
The big difference between political leaders of the global north and global south is that the global north leaders are deeply overwhelmed to put it politely. They have no idea about real politics of good governance. On the other hand, excluding young tucks in the Sahel region, the African political leaders are geriatrics and deeply compromised by colonial vestiges of ruling nations. Where will we, citizens of the global south turn to, when we want to report human rights abuses entrenched in our daily lives. President Mnangagwa urinates on our faces, talks about something that does not exist in his government; dignity and integrity! It did not matter if we dream about dignity and integrity in our lives and those of the coming generations, will that ever happen in our lifetime? Zimbabweans yearn for change that will not come soon. Geza revolution is much ado about nothing. Long suffering of 45 years has blinded citizens to make rightful decisions about their future. Citizens fail to see that a Geza revolution is change that guaranties the same: no change. No need to have studied dialectic materialism to understand that Geza revolution is a pseudo revolution that must fail. To say so much about him is tribalism again!
We are a nation strongly rooted in our value systems, dignity and integrity," These are words Mnangagwa speaks with his straight face to a mesmerized public, after which the audience will repeat after him: achazotonga, wozotanga, wozotanga: preaching platitudes. Kusadzidza chikoro kwakanaka wedu we. Does it surprise us if those fighting for change in government top posts see Chiwenga as the person to replace Mnangagwa? Somehow, they don't realize that Chiwenga could be much worse than Mnangagwa. There will be hell to pay if Chiwenga became third president because he reeks of cruelty. The nation is endowed with dynamic and educated young tucks to replace Zanu government to effect change. Zimbabwe is deeply frozen in time. Professor Arther Mutambara, a very capable leader, has no chance to get elected. Citizens are mesmerized with rulers without ideas: they are viscerally obsessed with either Mnangagwa or Chiwenga.
There were supposed to be demonstrations today in Zimbabwe. Evidently people are tired of fake news dza va Geza. Doing the same thing repeatedly and expecting results could be sign of insanity; said Albeit Einstein. They continue publishing the next demonstrations with reckless abandon. Each move made is spoken in detail. The same with Nyokayemabhunu's case in South Africa. I doubt if he is legally good represented in SA courts. The people will respond to demonstrations if they have leaders on the ground to lead actions not at a safe place in Polokwane, South Africa. A today's article summarized it; Mnangagwa does not lose sleep because of planned demonstrations especially when the demos are called by Geza. The actions of UZ lecturers could have been a game changer if there were focused leaders on the ground.
Where is Pastor Evans Mawarire! Where is Mr. Sten Zvorwadza
In this political heat and an environment that has irrevocably been turned up-side-down by a Geza revolution, my humble question is, where are these people who left a mark in our body politics a decade ago. Who can forget how we were compelled to buy the national flag: #this Flag. Who would ever forget the demonstrations that Zvorwadza staged at Sheraton Hotel; an action against former VP Phekelezela Mphoko MHESRP who camped at Sheraton Hotel indefinitely. Pastor Evan Mawarire attracted and absorbed thousands of activists who were convinced about his cause for change including Fadzai Mahere, Promise Mkwananzi, Linda Masarira, and many of them. Pastor Evans was interviewed by international journalists who valued his eloquent speaking: no issues with English syntax. #ThisFlag movement became the symbol of resistance, the majority embraced the core values of its uprising: economic and social regression had reached a climax: These young people wanted change in as much as the people today are still demanding revolutionary transformations, a life for the better in their lifetime.
To make my story short, Pastor Mawarire was a Human Rights Defender charged by the Magistrate Court in Harare for inciting violence public disorder/violence. Charges against him muted each time he went to court: He was then charged with subverting a constitutionally elected government and detained. These changes confused even the prosecutor of court. Mawarire was threatened and told to abandon his noble work as Human Rights Defender. The Front-Line Defenders were convinced that Mawarire's persecution was directly linked to his work as Pastor and Human Rights Defender who demanded that the prosecutor drops the accusations and release him unconditionally. Pastor Mawarire's life as an activist was overly convoluted, and it can never be narrated in a single sentence. His activism intertwined with the works of Zvorwadza. On separate times and spaces, Zvorwadza made headlines too, because he represented workers and venders. His activism was respected nationally and internationally equally with that of Mawarire.
Pastor Evans became known in several international organisations including the Amnesty international. I remember one event by amnesty international Bremen when they tabled a motion about how they were going to approach the Zimbabwean government to release the Pastor Mawarire from prison. Pastor Mawarire was recognized by the world governments and organisations: he was a man of the moment who would free the people from brutal repression of Mugabe rule. On the judgement day, when Mawarire was to be tried in court, thousands of people held a vigil at the Harare Magistrate court. The citizens demanded the release of Pastor Mawarire. Indeed, he was released spectacularly. After his release, Mawarire fled Zimbabwe and was given an asylum status in USA. After a short spell in USA, Mawarire came back to Zimbabwe. Reason to come back to Zimbabwe was compelling. Citizens needed answers about why he is doing what he was doing. His actions had an undercurrent of betrayal and remorse. We still believe in him as our voice and courage he displayed and acknowledged.
A personification of courage!
Pastor Evan Mawarire and Zvorwadza made history in Zimbabwe. The natural courage they expressed was unparallel, actions that shook the nation and international. The personalities of these two giants are the leadership we want now if we want change in Zimbabwe. Why are they absent? They cannot see, the nation demands strong and courageous leadership of their caliber. Geza has passed the point of complete exhaustion; evidenced by his outreach to Chiwenga to remove Mnangagwa. Chamisa is out of breath, a polite underestimate. There is currently no leadership he can offer the nation. Put short and succinctly: we need these larger-than-life personalities to come back and lead the people to freedom. If Mawarire was a plant of Mnangagwa: we want a scintilla of evidence from Jonathan Moyo that support this accusation. Please come back to the fore: your loud silence is unbearable at a time we are bereft of leadership on the ground. The nation demands transformations that could only be possible by your leadership style. The Geza et al leadership is fantastical. I write in the hope that you will see this article and reflect on it. Whatever sinister comments I may have made against you Pastor Evans Mawarire, please forgive me. We must move on. Just saying!
