All genuine Matebeleland Political and traditional leaders have called for the boycott of the handing over of the Highlanders bus to the club, which is to be conducted by Zanu pf's Tshinga Dube, on Saturday the 6th of June at Emagumeni as the Barbour fields Stadium is popularly known. The 65 seater bus was donated by the Nyaradzo Funeral Palour at the same time with Dynamos' but that for the Mighty Matebeleland Club has taken over the anticipated time to reach the club offices, while it took some days for Dynamos to receive theirs.
The handing over event is set to be a way of stitching together the Vice President, Emmerson Mnangagwa together with the people of Matebeleland. The people whom he is on record of engineering and unleashing Gukurahundi on and which killed over 80 000 innocent people of all age groups, while his companion Tshinga Dube is on record of fighting off all efforts by the people of the region to see justice over Gukurahundi prevail.
One traditional leader who also spoke on condition of anonymity, said he had warned his people that anyone who would attend to the event should not return to his village. The feelings were mixed amongst the residents of Bulawayo with some saying they would attend and some saying they would not. It remains to be seen what will happen at the stadium( Soweto stands) where the Song Lingababulali" has always erupted each time a Mashonaland team played in the venue, now that the Gukurahundist himself will enter the stadium and take to the podium to address them.
