A number of innocent people are being killed daily in road traffic accidents emanating from human error.
According to the Traffic Safety Council of Zimbabwe 93, 4 percent of road accidents are caused by human error which manifests in various ways involving push carts operators, rank marshals, vendors, passengers, pedestrians, cyclists, animal herd and drivers.
Most accidents are due to speeding, misjudgement, overtaking error, failure to give way, following too close to a vehicle ahead these mistakes resulted in avoidable deaths.
Meanwhile, it is high time law enforcement agencies impose stiffer measures to curb unnecessary loss of life.
Only 6, 6 percent of road accidents are caused by animals, vehicle defects and adverse road conditions therefore vehicles and roads should be perfect for the smooth flow of traffic.
