Dynamos, appear to have all but closed the doors on Obadiah Tarumbwa after the side secured the services of Simba Sithole this week. Tarumbwa was one of the players registered by Dynamos during the mid-season transfer period as the club battled to solve their striking dilemma that had been offset by the departure of Takesure Chinyama to South Africa.
The former Highlanders striker had returned home after a stint in Cyprus, but never set foot at the Dynamos training camp although the player's handlers had signed a contract on his behalf.
But reports are filtering in that the 26-year-old, who had been playing for EN Paralimni and Apop Kinyras, could be heading back to Cyprus.
Indications are that Tarumbwa could have singed for club in Cyprus last week and will not longer be joining Dynamos who have since swooped on Sithole.
Dynamos chairman Kenny Mubaiwa said they were not sure about the status of the player now.
"We have not heard from his agents for some time now. If there are reports that he has signed for a club in Cyprus, then I would not be surprised because that could be true," said Mubaiwa.
Dynamos assistant coach, Tonderayi Ndiraya, gave the biggest hint that the coaches no longer have Tarumbwa in their plans.
"Obadiah is now out of the question because we have Sithole," said Ndiraya.
