RODERICK MUTUMA has been rated as number 22 out of 30 worst foreign strikers that have played football in South Africa.
According to KickOff.com Mutuma came to the PSL with a reputation of being a prolific goal scorer in Zimbabwe, but such was his struggles in the City of Roses that Siwelele masses were asking just how and why this lanky forward was even signed in the first place.
Mutuma was bought by Celtic because he had a reputation of being a prolific goal scorer
He once went on trials at Ajax Cape Town but wasn't signed before eventually winning a contract at Celtic at the beginning of 2013.
Just weeks into signing, some Celtic officials were already whispering words of doubts about their new arrival, and the writing was on the wall before the end of that year, with Mutuma shown the door just 12 months into his three-and-a-half-year contract.
He started nine games - with a further seven substitute appearances - and scored twice in consecutive games against Polokwane City and Free State Stars.
Not the strongest of players on the ball, and just like Mario Balotelli he didn't offer much off the ball. Plus he has a poor attitude which has seen him even fight with his teammates back home.

Though he is generally a decent footballer, Mutuma's tendency to always want the team to play according to the way he wants is his greatest downfall.
Moroka Swallows didn't see any reason why they should sign him when he came for trials at the beginning of the season.
