American gospel music legend Donald James "Don" Moen will perform at this year's edition of Prophetic Healing and Deliverance (PHD) Ministries' Night of Turn Around crusade to take place in Harare on October 2.

Walter Magaya, the founder of PHD Ministries, confirmed the American gospel star's trip to Harare adding that it was part of his strategy to lure a very big crowd.

"We are expecting Don Moen to perform during our Night of Turn Around in October and I am targeting about one million people to attend the event," he said.

Despite the scepticism of many, Magaya insisted that his church will safely accommodate one million people.

"A plan will come up when the time comes. We will find ways to accommodate them but am convinced that a million people are coming," said the popular cleric.

The last edition of the Night of Turn Around crusade held on November 7 last year reportedly attracted over 300 000 people. Leading South African artiste Benjamin Dube performed at the event alongside popular local acts such as Mathias Mhere and Sebastian Magacha.

Magaya believes Moen, who last performed in Zimbabwe on May 4, 2013 an event organised by Logos Rhema Ministries in partnership with other local churches, will be a big drawcard.

The internationally-respected praise and worship artiste was born 63 years ago in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He has made a name for himself as a singer-songwriter, pastor, and producer of Christian worship music.

While attending the Oral Roberts University in Oklahoma, he joined Terry Law's Living Sound group that travelled to Zimbabwe four times. In 1984 he joined the Integrity Music / Hosanna music team and rose through the ranks before becoming the group's president.

Moen's first album for Hosanna! Music, Give Thanks, became the label's bestseller. He followed this with a number of successful albums including two Spanish ones En Tu Presencia and Trono De Gracia.

Moen's music has generated total global sales of over five million units.
