Mugabe a great Pan-Africanist, says Malian leader

Malian President Ibrahim Boubacar Keita has described his counterpart, President Robert Mugabe, as "a great Pan Africanist" committed to African unity, according to the the Herald.
Keita said this on Tuesday during a banquet hosted for him by Mugabe in the capital Harare.
The West African country's leader is in Zimbabwe on a three-day state visit.
Mugabe, who chairs the African Union, was in Mali last month to witness the signing of a peace deal between Tuareg-led rebels and Keita's government.
"All media in the country, be it radio and television, made echo of what you said that day. Thank you for being such a great Pan Africanist, a true son of Africa committed to African unity," Keita was quoted as saying.
Speaking at the same event, Mugabe urged the African continent to be mindful of "certain forces" that wanted Africa to be divided.
"Be mindful that certain forces want Africa to be divided so that they can plunder our resources while we invest our energies in tension, strife and quarrels," Mugabe said.
