Sipho Makhabane on unity programme

GOSPEL heavyweight Sipho "Big Fish" Makhabane is reportedly going an extra mile to educate the community about unity indicating that drugs have destroyed the young people in the society.
Daily Sun reported that the Mpumalanga artist has organised the Peace and Unity Music Concert to be held at Mbombela Stadium on 5 September.
Big Fish said they're going to talk about the dangers of drugs and how to get along with foreign nationals.
Big Fish condemns xenophobia and will ask people to unite and fight against it .
The issue of xenophobia will be discussed and people will be taught the importance of accommodating foreigners.
He said what happened previously to foreigners should not be repeated – especially if we regard ourselves as the Rainbow Nation.
"Drugs have destroyed our young people, which is not good as they are the leaders of tomorrow.
"Some youngsters are addicted to drugs and end up committing crimes," he said.
Big Fish went on to say he will encourage parents to teach children abou living a good life.
The gospel heavyweight said: "We'll have a prayer session and motivational talk."
Big Fish added it pains any African mum or dad to see children wandering in the streets without proper food, clothes and shelter.
He told the People's Paper his prayers during the Peace and Unity Concert, to be held on 5 September, will have one aim: to create peace among Africans.
And he told the People's Paper: "I'll be urging all our people to get together and fight all the inhumane activities we see in our beloved country today."
Among the artists who will be performing on the big day in Mbombela are Thobekile Mkhwananzi, Keke Phoofolo, Donny, Thinah Zungu, Sechaba Padi, Rebecca Malope, Masibuyele kuJehova, Leandri Small, Joyous Celebration, Frans Dlamini and Nduduzo Matse from Swaziland.
In addition to the vocal and musical talent to be showcased on the day, young traditional dancers from all over the country will also take to the stage.

The cost is R200 or R400 for the VIP area.
