Quals breeding training project opened

Victor Chickens which is based in Ruwa near Harare has opened a quals breeding and training project in.
Masvingo MIrror reported that the ground breaking ceremony was held at the Gweru Show Grounds with quite a number of people already enrolled for running qual projects from day one of the bird up to six weeks when the bird matures.

He said quals are healthy, profitable, cheap and require less labor.
He explained that a single qual bird lays 280 to 300 eggs a year which means unlike broilers where one has to go back to the poultry shop for another pack of chicks; quals naturally multiply on their own.
"100 birds consumes 50 kg of mixed sorghum, millet, maize and rapoko crushes for six weeks; a period for it to fully mature.
"The eggs of these birds are recommended health wise as they prevent about 21 diseases. Among the benefits is that the eggs boost your CD4 count, reduces asthma attacks, maintains your blood pressure levels, boost IQ levels and reduces or maintains the body sugar levels" said Kwalamba.
The Vctor Chickens sales man for Gweru branch …..confirmed that they have sold quite a number of day old quals chicks to in Gweru.
"I am pleased that Gweru residents have adapted to the healthy bird.
"At least the nation is quickly adapting to the GMO free poultry that means we are heading towards a disease free generation," he said.
Besides quals, the shop sells different types of day old chicks such as Cochin, black astrolop, silky, dorking aroucana among many others.
