AN AFFAIR between a married man and his colleague has ended in nasty fashion amid reports of violence.

Since the collapse of their affair, Catherine Muwi and Basilio Zibwowa, who are both employees at the Central Vehicle Registration have been making counter violence accusation against each other.

The collapse has dragged in another employee Nyasha who is also said to be having an affair with Basilio.

H-Metro is in possession of WhatsApp and audio messages which reveal that Basilio and Catherine broke up when Basilio started having an affair with Nyasha.

In an interview, Basilio said he is living in fear of Catherine's violence tendencies.

"If there is one thing I regret in my life, it is the decision I made of being in an affair with this woman because it has created a lot of problems for me right now.

"When we parted ways, she has been perpetrating all kinds of violence towards me. A few days ago she smashed my car's windscreen and whenever she sees me she insults me with obscenities.

"I ended the affair after realising that I wanted to focus more on my studies and also that I wanted to commit to my two wives whom I am married to.

"I also called it quits when Catherine had developed a habit of calling one of my wives insulting her as well as demanding money from her,' he said.

Apart from violence accusations, Basilio said Catherine was also fabricating stories to have him arrested.

"I am having sleepless night at home because this woman is also making false criminal accusations against me.

"Police have contacted me over different allegations which Catherine would have forged just to get me arrested.

"There is a rape case where she influenced a young woman whom I see as my own daughter to lie to the police that I had raped her.

"The young woman later confessed that she had been influenced to say it by Catherine.

"She also gave a tip off to the police accusing me of reselling command agriculture inputs which I received from the government.

"The police later found out her claims were not true when I showed them the inputs," he said.

Catherine said Basilio was bitter because she is claiming maintenance for the upkeep of their child.

"I sired a child with him and what is troubling him is the fact that the court awarded me US$50 as maintenance from him for the upkeep of our child.

"We have both been violent towards each other but I have never lodged any false accusations against him with the police.

"The woman whom he raped was the one who came to me and opened up about what he was doing to her," said Catherine.
