In a bizarre incident, a body of a 48-year-old missing Chitugwiza woman was found floating in a 15-meter deep drinking well.
Annette Gwaze was reported missing on 4 October and her body was retrieved on 13 October 2017 by the police.
According to Kwayedza, the family had been drinking from the well for 9 days unknowingly.
Apparently, her husband Stanley Gwaze (57) confirmed the incident.
"My wife was found in the well undressed and the body was in a decomposing state," he said.
"We do not know how she ended up in that well since it is protected by concrete and it is astonishing to note that we found her nine days later."
Acting Mashonaland East police spokesperson Assistant Inspector Tendai Mwanza said the case is still under investigation.
