Sources from Zimbabwe's capital Harare say the troubled 93-year-old President Robert Mugabe is refusing to step down unless clear conditions that ensure his self centred interests are met.

According to former ZBC presenter Eric Knight the sources within reveal that he is refusing to step down until certain self-centred conditions are met.

"I'm not privy to share those conditions yet. On the other hand, the Army are insisting that things could be drastic if they are not listened to as they are doing this for the good of everyone. South African representatives sent by South Africa President Jacob Zuma are in Harare to here both sides. Sadc are also scheduled to meet in Botswana this afternoon to discuss Zimbabwe," he said.

"Yesterday UK confirmed that they had a very cordial phone conversation with Zuma and both agreed that the people of Zimbabwe should freely choose a leader they want. Finally Masvingo Minister Paul Chimedza has been arrested at a roadblock mounted by the soldiers as he tried to escape to South Africa. God bless Zimbabwe! God bless Africa!"
