The New Government with the Old Chinamasa

Mthwakazi Republic Party has said Zanu PF cannot reform itself out of power as it continues to revert to the old guards to run as cabinet ministers among them Patrick Chinamasa who has since been appointed Finance minister.
MRP NEC Secretary for Foreign Affairs Njabulo Ngwenya said this is the famous statement that was vomited by the fugitive Professor, Jonathan Moyo.
"At first instinct, this statement made me lose my head. This man was erasing all my hopes of ever experiencing normalcy in my beloved land. He uttered these words like he was a custodian of all our destinies. When the Old Chinamasa, in a so called new government, made his utterances on devolution of power, nothing was a surprise to me and Mthwakazi Republic Party. So far he is the only person who has given us his truth within the new "Coupbinet" . He has not kept us guessing, but confirmed that ZANU PF can not reform itself out of power. The worst of the members of the 'coupbinet' are those who have not yet opened their mouths with scripted vernon. Chinamasa has spelt it out very clearly, in the collective truth and reality of ZANU PF. NO DEVOLUTION," he said.
"The social media space was inundated with screams, insults and despair. The said statement by Chinamasa, however, laid bare MRP's depth of political wisdom. Most of the people who huffed and puffed against Chinamasa displayed ignorance of the devolution that the people of Mthwakazi need."
He said MRP believes that devolution of power cannot be a gift from anyone, but an attitude of functioning in a space of common shared values.
"Our devolution as Mthwakazi people can not be necessitated by a government budget or authorization by a broken and discredited old minister. MRP is not fighting for devolution of power to the Provinces, but devolution of power to the people. Our model of devolution starts with and from the people going upwards, and is fundamentally funded by sentiment and social cohesion," he said.
"Mthwakazi people are capable of providing leadership thorough their community, social and development structures, that are currently stripped of decision making powers by the administration of the 1979 Shona grand plan. Any government that promises to create jobs for the citizenry is a dishonest government. When power is devolved to the people, employment is created right from village level, through community driven initiatives. What the government of Mnangagwa is doing, is to embark on a public relations program of luring back foreign inventors, with the hope that while they make profit, jobs will be created along the way."
He said the real devolution, according to MRP is when communities are allowed to champion their own development in the context of their environments.
"When the people of Mthwakazi take back the stolen ownership of their schools, they will be able to employ their own children. Clinics and police stations must be managed by communities and employ local people. We surely don't need Chinamasa for that, but decisive and United leadership. The utterances by Chinamasa, to us, are eye opening rather than worrying. It gives us an indication that Mthwakazi people need to start finding one another even more than before, and start claiming what belongs to us," he said.
"Our MRP elected councillors will work with traditional and community development structures and only engage government to play a facilitation role on development programs conceived by communities. Surely we won't beg for devolution of power to the people, because we don't need to. We refuse a devolution program that is customized and bestowed upon us. Anyone who denies us devolution of our power, stands in the way of our life and freedom to define our future."
"Devolution of power to the people is a human rights issue. With or without government funding, We are taking back our schools, diptanks, mines, clinics, police stations and development, back to the people."
