"This man came all the way from Kambuzuma for his business prayers before the Holy Spirit revealed to me that he had a snake in his bag. I asked him to open his bag and the puff adder snake came out and we killed it before he admitted that it was left in his possession by his late father for ritual purposes. We are very alert. There are people who visit here to tempt our prophecies and such evil acts are revealed to us. We are going to take this to police as you can see people are baying for his blood and it will defile our place of worship here," said Madzibaba Tsungai.

Bernard admitted that the snake was in his bag but had little room to explain as the swelling crowd bayed for his blood. He said: "Yes it was in my bag....." and Bernard was whisked into Madzibaba Tsungai's Mercedes Benz parked near the shrine.
