A Glenwood woman who grabbed headlines after she stopped her husband's wedding in Mabvuku last weekend has been dragged to court.

Lisa Kanhimba was taken to court by her husband Obey Jekenya and the second wife Melania Nyamukuta accusing her of verbally and physically abusing them.

"She invaded the wedding together with her relatives and they paid a number of prostitutes to stop the proceedings.

"She can't deny it because people took pictures.

"She even threatened to keep on assaulting Melania if she doesn't divorce me.

"She once visited Melania in Hatfield with her mother and they threatened her, the landlord can testify," he said.

In response, Lisa denied the allegations saying:

"He is my husband and we are still married.

"I have never physically abused Melania, I don't even have any problem with her.

"I saw Melania once when I visited her, I wanted to tell her that the man he was going out with is married and it was a peaceful visit I didn't approach her or attempt to lay my hand on her."

Lisa also told the court that Obey constantly visits her at their matrimonial home in Glenwood Park.

"I don't know where he stays but he visits more often.

"He even pays rentals but this month he hasn't paid yet, atochinja," she added.

Presiding magistrate Noah Gwatidzo ordered Lisa not to assault, harass or threaten Melania.

Lisa was also barred from visiting both Melania and Obey's work place.
