Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Information Publicity and Broadcasting Services Nick Mangwana has refuted allegations that he has been staying at a hotel since he joined the Emmerson Mnangagwa led government.
#Tajamuka Spokesperson Promise Mkwananzi had said, "I'm told that Mthuli Ncube and Nick Mangwana et al are staying in hotels paid for by the state. Is this real? I swear with my mother we have to kick them out!"
Shadowy investigative group Team Pachedu asked Mangwana to respond to the allegations.
"We received the intel during the first weeks that Nick Mangwana was in Zimbabwe, including the name of the hotel & the amount being paid. We ignored it at the time as we assumed the state was still looking for a decent home. Nick Mangwana are you staying in a hotel since then?"
"No. I don't stay in a hotel and like one of your contributors said, I find hotels sickening to live in long term."Mangwana responded. "They are relevant for holidays or they are just a convenience of a sojourn. I prefer home cooked food and my privacy which a hotel can hardly provide. Where I stay is certainly a personal arrangement which I can't disclose for obvious reasons.
"Kandi wakamboita seyi Promise? You confidently peddle some misinformation as a matter of fact. At least Pachedu asked."
On Professor Mthuli Ncube, Mngwana said, "He has formally responded to this question many times over. He lives at his house."
