22 Aug 2021 at 15:04hrs | Views
A member of Zimbabwe National Army Stephen Gono (28) is reportedly giving bottle store operators at Nzvimbo growth point, Chiweshe a headache by allegedly demanding free beer.
Gono who claims to be on national duty in the area is now popular for harrasing female bottle store cashiers.
Speaking to Bulawayo24.com one of the cashiers said the soldiers flashes his identity card and demands free beer failure to comply in them being assaulted.
"We are in deep trouble with this soldier he just flashes his identity card and demands free beer on daily basis but we do not know where to report since he claims to be well-connected," explained the source.
Gono did not pick his calls and efforts to contact Zimbabwe National Army (ZNA) public relations department were fruitless.
