JAH PRAYZAH has chosen not to disclose the reasons behind his absence at Baba Harare's album launch in Padziva last week.

Despite being scheduled to perform as one of the headline artists alongside Gemma Griffiths and Voltz JT, Jah Prayzah's absence has fueled speculation about the true nature of their relationship.

Ironically, Baba Harare was once a member of Jah Prayzah's Third Generation band.

Addressing the audience during the event about Jah Prayzah's no-show, Baba Harare criticized his former boss, saying, "He just decided not to show up, I don't know what wrong I did to him that he didn't come. I want to explain so that you don't think I duped you by advertising that Jah Prayzah will be here. Everything was set, and he was supposed to be here tonight."

Jah Prayzah's manager, Keen Mushapaidze, declined to comment on the matter, stating, "We don't want to comment about that issue. He (Baba Harare) knows what happened."

During a radio interview on ZiFM, Baba Harare clarified that he was not complaining but merely updating his fans on the situation, saying, "I wasn't complaining about that. I was just telling the fans what had happened because I don't know what had happened."

When asked about whether contractual agreements with Jah Prayzah had been met, Baba Harare was non-committal in his response, saying, "On that I don't know with my management. My job as an artist is on the stage, and when I got on the stage, I expected him to be there, but he couldn't be there. That's with the management to tell; I will talk to my management."

In 2018, Jah Prayzah reportedly declined to participate in Baba Harare's music video for the song "Guzuzu." Baba Harare had to use Jah Prayzah's lyrics for the visuals to proceed.

Jah Prayzah reportedly refused to be part of the production, claiming he no longer made videos for songs that were already in the public domain. He preferred to release a song and its accompanying video simultaneously.
