The Victoria Falls Bridge, linking Zimbabwe and Zambia, stands strong even after 119 years since its construction, as revealed by a recent report from Emerged Railway Properties Private Limited.

This organization, jointly owned by Zimbabwe's National Railway and Zambia Railway Limited, oversees the maintenance and safety of the bridge.
Ahead of its 119th anniversary in September, the report affirms the bridge's structural integrity, emphasizing its continued usability and economic importance. Each year, a team of technical experts from both countries inspects the bridge, ensuring its safety and undertaking regular maintenance.
The latest inspection, conducted by Rambo, a Denmark-based engineering firm, confirmed the bridge's overall health and endorsed the existing maintenance schedule as sufficient for its durability. With an estimated service life of 200 years from its construction in 1905, the bridge is projected to remain operational for over a century more.

Emerged Railway Properties assures stakeholders and users that the Victoria Falls Bridge remains structurally sound, safe, and economically beneficial for both Zimbabwe and Zambia.
