Accident claims 2 lives

Two people died and nine others were injured in a road accident involving a Nissan Caravan commuter omnibus and a bicycle ridden by a nine-year-old on the Kadoma-Sanyati Road.
The Zimbabwe Republic Police confirmed the incident, which occurred on Saturday. The accident happened when the kombi, carrying 18 passengers, hit the juvenile cyclist. Consequently, the kombi veered off the road and overturned, landing on its left side.
The commuter omnibus driver fled the scene and remains unaccounted for.
In another incident in Marondera last week, two people were killed and eight others injured when a Toyota Wish carrying 10 passengers veered off the road and hit a tree on the Kudenga-Karimba Road.
