Dr. Panduleni Itula, the presidential candidate for the Independent Patriots for Change (IPC), has announced that his party will not accept the results of the ongoing national election, citing significant irregularities.

Addressing a press conference this afternoon, Dr. Itula declared that the IPC would challenge the election outcome regardless of whether it reflected a victory, a runoff, or a loss for the party.

"The process has been deeply flawed, with glaring, undeniable, and unacceptable irregularities," Dr. Itula asserted. "This is not just about the IPC or myself. It's about Namibia and its future. We must ensure that elections are fair, free, and transparent."

The IPC leader revealed plans to contest the results through appropriate legal and institutional channels, emphasizing the importance of preserving the integrity of Namibia's democratic process.
Call for Unity and Citizen Participation

Dr. Itula also expressed the IPC's commitment to collaborating with other political parties to demand accountability and a credible electoral process. He urged Namibians to play an active role in documenting irregularities and sharing evidence with political parties.

"We encourage all citizens to be vigilant. Record, report, and share any anomalies you witness. This is a collective effort to safeguard our democracy," he said.
Protecting Democratic Values

Dr. Itula stressed that the IPC's stance goes beyond party politics, aiming to protect the democratic rights of all Namibians. "This effort is necessary to ensure that the people of Namibia can freely choose their leaders without fear or manipulation," he said.

The statement has already sparked national discussions about the credibility of the electoral process and the measures required to ensure transparency. Observers will be watching closely as the IPC and other stakeholders take steps to address the alleged irregularities.

Namibia's electoral commission is yet to respond to Dr. Itula's allegations, as the nation waits for official results and possible legal challenges ahead.
