Harare is set to host the Global Investment Conference for Africa (GICA) 2025 from September 11 to 13, bringing together prominent business leaders and investors from across the world.

Organised by Dubai-based Bluefin Gold Group (BGG), the three-day event aims to foster strategic partnerships between governments and investors, focusing on infrastructure development and smart technologies.

Running under the theme Vision for a Smart Integrated First World Africa, the conference seeks to accelerate Africa's transformation by attracting investments in cutting-edge technologies and key infrastructure projects.

Charles Nyabaya, Executive Director at BGG, revealed that the conference has already attracted significant interest from global investors willing to provide competitive financing for African ventures.

"This year's edition of GICA will be held in Harare, Zimbabwe, and we have mobilised most of the big investors from around the world who will invest at reasonable interest rates," said Nyabaya.

"We intend to help African countries create trillion-dollar economies within the next eight years. We believe this is achievable with the right mindset and strategies."

The conference will feature notable speakers including Jacques Ludik, CEO of Cortex Group, Ghanaian legislator Edemu Ackuaku, and business magnate Celina Lee, among others.

With registration already open, organisers say the event is shaping up to be a landmark gathering for Africa's economic future.

"We are pleased with the response from participants and investors around the globe who have shown eagerness to travel to Harare for the conference," Nyabaya added.

President Emmerson Mnangagwa has been actively calling for increased foreign investment in Zimbabwe under his mantra "engage and re-engage."

The inaugural GICA was held last year in South Africa, marking the beginning of what promises to be an influential series of investment forums for Africa's growth.
