Armed robbers strike Mukuru outlet in Harare

A GANG of armed robbers on Saturday afternoon targeted a Mukuru Money Transfer agency at Zuva Service Station near Mabelreign shops in Harare.

The amount of money stolen during the robbery had not been established by the time of reporting.

Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) spokesperson Commissioner Paul Nyathi confirmed the incident, saying officers swiftly attended the scene.

"Yes, there was a robbery incident that occurred in Harare this afternoon. The Zimbabwe Republic Police are currently at the crime scene conducting investigations," said Commissioner Nyathi.

He added that further details would be released once investigations are complete.

Police are yet to confirm whether any arrests have been made or if anyone was injured during the incident.
