A Bindura man has been remanded in custody after allegedly posting an obscene audio clip of his ex‑girlfriend on social media.
Kudakwashe Lordship Tengende (24) appeared before a Bindura magistrate facing a charge of cyberbullying.
The State told the court that on 2 February, Tengende forcibly took his ex‑girlfriend Catherine Chikuni’s mobile phone and accessed her private voice notes. The notes reportedly contained intimate messages she had sent to a friend, stating she had slept with another man. Prosecutors said Tengende, acting out of rage, posted the audio on her Facebook and TikTok accounts.
In his defence, Tengende claimed he did not intend to humiliate the complainant but acted out of revenge.
“Your worship, I did not humiliate or demean her. It was simply revenge for what she had done to me,” he argued.
The matter was postponed to 2 March for continuation.
