5 candidates recommended to replace Mujuru

The Zanu PF Mashonaland Central Provincial Electorate Directorate has met in Dotito and recommended five of the 14 people who submitted their CVs to represent the party in the 27 March by- election for Mt Darwin West constituency.
In terms of the constitution, the seat became vacant after the elevation of ousted former Vice President Joice Mujuru.
In an interview, the Zanu-PF Mashonaland Central Provincial Chairman, Dickson Mafios said those recommended are Keneddy Banda, Caleb Karima, Godfrey Tsenengamu, James Seremwe and Barnwell Seremwe.
Mafios said names of those recommended have been forwarded to the Zanu-PF National Political Commissariat for further scrutiny before primary elections slated for this Saturday and Sunday.
Dr Mujuru cannot contest the seat as the constitution bars vice presidents.
