Cop demands to wed colleague's wife

A Chikombedzi Police constable has been ordered to under-go mental examination after he demand that he be legally wedded to the wife of an officer who had snatched his girlfriend.
Wesley Kamaliza (36) stationed at Chikombedzi Police station appeared before Magistrate Geraldine Mutsoto facing assault charges.
He beat up Alfa Chikwanda the wife of constable Chinyundo for refusing to become his legal wife after her husband allegedly snatched his girlfriend.
According to Masvingo Mirror, Kamaliza allegedly argued that since Chikwanda's husband had taken his girlfriend, he then had a right to take his rival suitor's wife.
Kamaliza then tried to force himself on Chikwanda by placing her hands on her lap and hugging her tightly. He tried to force Chikwanda to accompany him to the officer-in-charge's office where he wanted the two to get legally wedded.
Kamaliza allegedly assaulted Chikwanda when she spurned the advances and refused to be force-marched to the officer-in-charge's office.
Circumstances are that on March 9, 2015 Kamaliza grabbed and assaulted a fellow cop's wife and announced that she was now his wife and even demanded that the officer-in-charge facilitate the marriage after accusing the
On that day, Chikwanda was seated at a neighbours' house with other women. She then left for her house and upon arrival she met Kamaliza who told her that her husband had snatched his girlfriend at Gezani and told her that he therefore intended to take her to be his wife.
Kamaliza then allegedly went and sat next to chikwanda and held her by the hand laying his hand on her thighs. He stood up tightly holding the complainant's hand and dragged her towards ZRP offices loudly shouting that the complainant was now his wife hence he needed the officer-in-charge to facilitate the marriage.
Chikwanda protested but it was all in vain and Kamaliza assaulted her with open hands on the head several times until other officers arrested him.
