Some Zimbabweans without proper immigration documents in various countries have resorted to getting hooked into marriages of convenience in order to avoid being deported.
This has been happening over the years and according to some representatives of immigrants in Britain, South Africa and other countries, such marriages are common among Zimbabweans.
For perspective, Studio 7 reached Ephraim Tapi, founding member of Restoration of Human Rights Zimbabwe, and Ngqabutho Mabhena the Zimbabwe Community in South Africa.
Mabhena said this kind of marriage has been questioned by South African authorities.
There are an estimated 3.2 million Zimbabweans living in South Africa alone and thousands in other nations.
