'Time for blaming Mugabe over,' says MDC-T

The opposition MDC-T yesterday said it was embarking on a new drive to resolve the country's socioeconomic problems and dumping its policy of blaming President Robert Mugabe for everything after realizing that the electorate was no longer interested in its blame games.

Party spokesperson Obert Gutu said that Zimbabweans were now looking for solutions from the opposition rather than "the ancient news about Mugabe and Zanu-PF failures". Opposition parties had all along thrived on blaming Zanu-PF's incompetence for the economic, social and political malaise.

Zimbabweans are tired of continuously being bombarded with messages about Mugabe's failure as a leader, Gutu said.
