Germany says the European Union should stop interfering in Zimbabwe's internal affairs by advocating for security sector reforms, but should instead give GPA parties a chance to resolve and shape the country's future ahead of the general elections set for next year, ZBC News reported on Thursday.
The Germany ambassador to Zimbabwe, Mr. Hans Gnodtke made the remarks responding to Vice President Mujuru who had told him that the EU Council should stop interfering in Zimbabwe's internal affairs.
Ambassador Gnondtke who had paid a courtesy call on Vice President Mujuru at her Munhumutapa offices however appealed to fellow members of the EU to desist from calling for security sector reforms in Zimbabwe which is an act of interference.
The EU has imposed illegal sanctions on Zimbabwe, a development that has caused untold suffering to ordinary people.
Mujuru also met with UNDP Resident Coordinator, Mr. Alain Noudehou and discussed issues pertaining to how Zimbabwe can attain the Millennium Development Goals.
The British ambassador to Zimbabwe, Deborah Bronnert, also paid a courtesy call on the Vice President and she once again continued the old British song of regime change coated in the gospel of free and fair elections in Zimbabwe.
The British ambassador's sentiments confirm what many local analysts have always said that London is not sincere in dealing with Zimbabwe but is obsessed with the regime change agenda.
