The Zanu PF Midlands disciplinary committee has exonerated three members of the province who were accused of denigrating and threatening fellow members of the province.

The three who have been exonerated are Cdes Owen Mudha Ncube, Justice Mayor Wadyajena and Edmore Samambwa.

The disciplinary committee was set at the request of the party's National Political Commissar Saviour Kasukuwere to bring to finality allegations of misconduct by the trio.

The trio is accused of attacking Cdes Makhosini Hlongwane, Tapiwa Matangaidze and Annastancia Ndlovu since their appointment to ministerial positions.

Some of the allegations levelled against the three and other youth league members are that they chanted slogans despising the party's leadership, criticising the ministerial appointments by the President and threatening the lives of other members within the party.

According to the disciplinary committee's findings signed by the chairman Mackenzie Ncube and secretary Colleta Mutambisi, the allegations levelled against the three Ncube, Wadyajena, Samambwa and other youth league members have no reasonable grounds for even suspecting the accused persons committed the alleged acts of misconducts.

The disciplinary committee stated that, "the allegations are lacking in substantiation, the complainants sat down and connived to fabricate these allegations to paint a very negative picture of the Midlands province in the eyes of the First Family. There was a clear desperate attempts by the complainants to try and involve the names of His Excellency the President Robert Mugabe and the First Lady Dr Grace Mugabe."

A report of the disciplinary committee indicates that the accusations levelled against the Cdes Wadyajena, Ncube and Samambwa are very unfortunate and such conduct needs to be discouraged and condemned in the strongest terms, adding that complainants inferred unproven and absurd sexual orientation to senior members of the party and attributing such statements to others and failing to furnish adequate proof is grossly ingenious.

The report further notes that the complainants appear bent on causing disharmony within the revolutionary party, adding that the accused persons are known Zanu PF strong supporters who have stood firmly with the First Family in the face of adversity.
