Village head caught with flesh eating snake

A village head in Mushongahande, under Chief Makope in Mazowe district, Mashonaland Central, province was caught with a python by witchdoctor popular referred to as "Tsikamukanda" last Wednesday.
It is alleged that the village head, Ruunga, was caught with a python which purportedly fed on flesh and was asked to surrender it to the "Tsikamukanda" only identified as Buster.
Buster is on a cleansing effort in Mushongahande village and is said to have been hired from Madziva area near Bindura.
Ruunga confirmed the incident and said they only took a snake from his bedroom.
"That is true Buster found a snake in my bedroom. These things do happen. Do not ask unnecessary questions. It is from my ancestors, it can happen to any African," said Ruunga.
Quizzed further on the sort of flesh he fed to the snake, Ruunga remained mum.
Meanwhile, Buster is now in the next village Chirenje where he is apparently exposing witchcraft, which villagers believe is rife in Chiweshe area.
