Mthwakazi Republic Party President, Mqondisi Moyo on Saturday led his National Executive Committee, party candidates as well as party officials within its rank and file to Matobo North where a successful campaign rally was held at Magalane Business centre and Ntunjambila Business centre

The party said it is on a vigorous campaign aimed at winning political power in the four Matabeleland provinces namely Midlands, Matabeleland North, Matabeleland South and Bulawayo.

"We still have a problem with identification, our people still do not have National Identity Documents despite the fact that Zimbabwe Electoral Commission has extended the voter registration exercise from 10 January to 08 February 2018. Many of our potential voters are disadvantaged and may not get the opportunity to Vote because of lack of IDs," said party spokesperson Mbonisi Gumbo.

MRP President told the villagers that now is the time for Mthwakazi's self-determination, Moyo said there was no reason for our people to risk lives while illegally crossing to South Africa to look for employment opportunities.

Moyo said "We have the capacity to get employed all of us here as sons and the daughters of this great Nation. We have great natural resources and the capacity to transform our Capital into a world class industrial capital city.

"As a political party we are worried with the manner in which our Mthwakazi resources are being looted daily to Mashonaland at our expense. All the employment opportunities available in Mthwakazi are being taken away by people from Mashonaland. All government tenders are a preserve of the people from Mashonaland."

He said as Mthwakazi Republic Party they are ready to takeover and govern ourselves.

"We are ready to lead Bulawayo City Council into a world class city, solve the housing problems, as well as decongesting the City of Kings by building great shopping malls in Cowdrypark, Pumula, EMganwini, as well as selected suburbs in the low densities. We are ready to lead Matabeleland North, Matabeleland South, Midlands and Bulawayo provinces into development and prosperity," he said.

MRP candidates are also ready and eagerly waiting for the elections, so they take over.

In the interest of Mthwakazi and its progress, it is important that we all register to Vote and Vote the people's party, MRP.

He said they are going to do the best that we can to get political power and be in a position to run their own affairs.

"We now want our people scattered across the globe to come back home and take up their rightful places in the economic recovery and development of Mthwakazi," he said.
