Man sets mother-in-law's hut on fire

In a bizarre incident, Plumtree resident Thembelihle Tshuma allegedly set his mother-in-law's hut on fire after accusing her of bewitching him.
Tshuma was taken to court by his mother-in-law and appeared before Plumtree magistrate Joshua Nembaware, who remanded him in custody to October 20.
According to court papers, on October 9, around 6 pm, the complainant was relaxing in her bedroom hut when Tshuma arrived and accused her of practising witchcraft against him.
He then allegedly set the house ablaze, reducing it and all its contents to ashes.
The complainant filed a report of malicious property damage, leading to Tshuma's arrest.
