A 59-year-old man from Binga has been arrested for sodomising his neighbour's 14-year-old son at knifepoint. Siadinya Juta Mwembe, of Kamalumbu Village, Mabobolo under Chief Saba pleaded not guilty to aggravated indecent assault when he appeared before Hwange regional magistrate Dambudzo Malunga.
In denying the charges, Mwembe left the court in stitches when he said: "You're lying. As small as you are you think your tiny an*s can accommodate my big manhood?"
The magistrate remanded him out of custody on his own cognisance to a later date for judgment. Prosecuting, Tawanda Sigauke said the assault took place at the boy's parents' homestead last month.
"On January 12, 2016 the accused arrived home at midnight and found his bedroom hut locked as his wife wasn't at home. He went to the neighbour's homestead and got into the complainant's bedroom hut. While inside, he asked to sleep on the bed saying there could be snakes that could bite him on the floor," said Sigauke.
The court heard that Mwembe ordered the little boy to undress as it was hot. Mwembe allegedly went out of the hut and returned after a few minutes to suddenly grab the boy with both hands. The court was not told why Mwembe went out of the hut.
"The complainant freed himself and jumped to the far end of the room but didn't go out since it was dark. The accused then drew a kitchen knife from his trouser pocket and threatened to beat and stab the complainant and his father if he made noise," said the prosecutor.
The court heard that Mwembe sodomised the boy once. The boy reported the matter to his father in morning. A report was made to the police leading to Mwembe's arrest.
