What started as an all-night prayer for a 21-year old ended in sorrow after he tragically fell on a hilltop and died.
Bornwell Muchabaiwa of Kuwadzana, Harare, teamed up with his friends for an all-night prayer meeting in Somerby Mountain in Zvimba on Wednesday when tragedy occurred early today.
According to an eye witness and friend, Collins Nyarupanga, the late Bornwell fell in a trance and collapsed on the top of the mountain where they were sleeping after spending hours in prayer.
His father, Mr. David Muchabaiwa says he is in shock and cannot believe what has befallen his family.
However, a resident in the area, Mrs Silvia Chirume said Somerby is a sacred mountain where chiefs honour their ancestors.
It is unclear what could have happened to Bornwell considering that he and his friends always used to pray at the mountain.
