TSHOLOTSHO FC emerged victorious from a Castle Lager Premier Soccer League dogfight at Luveve yesterday.
Defender Thandolwenkosi Ncube's goal won the tie for the home side and they moved out of the relegation zone, albeit on goal difference.
Ncube sweetly connected with a Joel Lupahla corner in the 30th minute.
Tsholotsho FC supporters sang praises for their coach Lizwe Sweswe and had him on their shoulders after the final whistle.
Sweswe was ecstatic.
"We are happy with the win and I think we were not complacent this time around and as the technical bench we kept pushing the boys to ensure they do not relax.
"We are now looking forward to the next game and hope we continue doing well," he said.
Whawha coach Lloyd Mutasa was a frustrated man as he engaged the match officials after the game.
He said they conceded a soft goal, adding that his team played well but there were other factors that were at play. However, he refused to name them.
Iziqholo Ze Zhwane will now be praying for Buffaloes to lose against Hwange this afternoon.
