Benjani testimonial line-up

MORE than two dozen international stars will feature in Benjani Mwaruwari's testimonial match in Harare on May 26.

The former Jomo Cosmos, Auxerre, Portsmouth, Manchester City, Blackburn and Portsmouth striker was flying to Zimbabwe from England on Tuesday to prepare for the match to mark his international retirement.

Mwaruwari, 33, retired from international football in October 2010 after playing 44 times for Zimbabwe.
 
A team of some of the best known names in world football will play Zimbabwe at the National Sports Stadium.

Mwaruwari said on Monday he had received confirmations from top stars including Cameroon and Arsenal midfielder Alex Song, Ivory Coast stars Emmanuel Eboue (Galatasaray), Didier Drogba (Chelsea) and Kolo Toure (Manchester City), Togo and Tottenham forward Emmanuel Adebayor, South African midfielder Steven Pienaar and Ghana stars Sulley Muntari (Inter Milan) and Michael Essien (Chelsea).

Warriors legend Peter Ndlovu, capped 100 times by his country, and the national team coach Norman Mapeza - who both played in Europe - will play in the main match, Mwaruwari said.
