Heads to roll at Dembare

HEADS are set to roll at Dynamos as the club's board of directors is anxiously waiting for a report on the disturbances that have hit the club in recent days.
A week-long players' strike as well as the suspension of captain Murape Murape and striker Roderick Mutuma, coupled with the team's failure to win their last two games, has plunged the Glamour Boys into a quagmire.
The development comes after Murape was last week involved in a heated spat with club chairman Keni Mubaiwa before Mutuma had a brawl with Black Rhinos defender Obey Gada last Sunday.
The two senior players then traded blows after Tuesday's training session at Zimphos over the little money that the executive had offered them.
A disciplinary hearing is expected on September 4 and Murape can be guaranteed he will get no support from Mubaiwa with whom he traded vitriol in front of other players.
The Bernard Marriot-led board, the most powerful wing at the institution, has all along been maintaining a watching distance as drama unfolded at the club.
But now it has made steps to act on the chaos and executive secretary general Webster Chikengezha is expected to submit a report this week.
"We have decided not to talk about the matter at the moment until we get a report from the executive," said Marriot.
"Right now we cannot do anything when we have not been appraised by the executive on what is happening. We expect to receive the report this week and that is when we can act."
Murape is accused of allegedly holding a meeting with an unnamed board member recently where he pushed for Mubaiwa's ouster.
This led to a petition signed by all players that called for the chairman's exit but the lobbying did not reach the board's desk.
The skirmishes at the club have had a bearing on the team's last two matches in which they have failed to win.
Dynamos will be at Gibbo Stadium this afternoon for a Premier Soccer League date with Triangle.
Last Thursday's home draw with Hwange as well as the Chibuku Super Cup first round exit at the hands of Black Rhinos has raised alarm in the DeMbare camp.
The Gibbo visit has become a must-win for Kalisto Pasuwa's side who are battling to retain confidence.
Although they lead the standings with just a point ahead of fierce rivals Highlanders, the disturbances have become a real threat to their quest for a fourth straight league title.
Triangle last Thursday lost 1-0 to Highlanders although they have become a rejuvenated side in this second half of the season.
Dynamos' last visit to Triangle produced a 2-2 draw last November while they won 1-0 in this year's league reverse fixture in June.
