WorldRemit, Zimpost launch instant money transfers to Zimbabwe

Digital money transfer service WorldRemit and Zimbabwe's leading postal company Zimpost (Pvt) LTD have partnered to open up new remittance routes to Zimbabwe.
The partnership is expected to support the growing demand for instant transfers in the country. It complements existing money transfer options of Mobile Money, bank deposits, cash pick up and airtime top-up.

Remittances play a vital role in Zimbabwe's economy - the country received more than $2 billion of remittances in 2015 accounting for almost 15% of its Gross Domestic Product (GDP), according to the World Bank.
