BUHERA South Member of Parliament Joseph Chinotimba thrilled the crowd on Monday as he showcased his fancy footwork at the Cresta Jameson Hotel where gospel singer Mathias Mhere launched his album "Nguva Yenyasha".
He left the crowd in stitches.
Despite being late for the event, he arrived to a rapturous applause and ululation from the crowd.
Clutching an iPad, Chinotimba beamed with confidence as he raised his fist in response to the cheering crowd.
When Mhere took to the stage, Chinotimba immediately rushed to the dance floor and gyrated to the beat.
He joined Mhere and his group in song and dance showcasing what he called "Bhora Mugedhi" dance where he imitated soccer players in the field.
During the auction of the CD, Chinotimba gave a long sermon about giving and receiving.
To show he was well read, the cheerful MP quoted Bible verses among them 1 Timothy 5 verse 8 which says: "But if anyone does not provide for his own and especially for those of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever."
"Mhere is our own and we must provide for him, I have decided to buy this disc for $400 and the Minister (Mzembi) should pay," he said to wild cheers.
