The Mashonaland East town of Marondera comes alive tomorrow as sungura musician Alick Macheso presents snippets from his upcoming album "Tsoka Dzerwendo" at Legends Sports Bar.
Macheso, through his assistant manager Tich Makahamadze, said they were going on a tour giving fans the new songs before their final release.
"The album is ready we are only finalising some issues but what I can assure you is it will be released soon. If you follow our shows you have noticed that the songs are being played," he said.
Makahamadze said the morale in the camp was high as the band members were celebrating residential stands that were acquired last week. "The morale in the camp is high as the guys are in a celebration mood. We have new dances that come with the new songs," said Makahamadze.
Show organiser Daniel Masaiti said they were happy to host the musician as he unveils songs from his coming album. "People have been waiting for his album like they have been waiting for the rains. So hosting him at such a time when he tells the nation about his upcoming release is good. We have hopes that people in Marondera will enjoy his act," he said.
The show comes as legends celebrates its second anniversary. "We have been hosting these musicians for two years now and I am happy that Macheso is among those who have made our journey easy," he said.
The celebrations will continue on December 26 when they host 'man of the moment' Jah Prayzah at the venue.
"We have several other musicians whom we have worked with here and they have shown high level of professionalism making our life easy. On boxing day Jah Prayzah will be performing here as part our celebrations," he said.
Last week the venue successfully hosted Suluman Chimbetu and Shinsoman.
