The Big Brother Stargame roared into life yesterday with Zimbabwean housemates Manita and Tecklar getting off to a bad start. The Zimbabwean pair was put up for eviction in the first session of the popular reality show. This means the two friends

could leave the show empty-handed should Africa decide to evict them at the weekend.

Judging from the way the two carried themselves on stage, Tecklar is talkative and while Manita is a bit reserved.

In a random live draw last night on AfricaMagic Entertainment channel, the Zimbabweans and two Tanzanians Hilda and Julio were put up for eviction in a dramatic nomination which appeared more like a twist from Big Brother rather than serious business.

This season of Big Brother Stargame promises more twists then ever before as it seeks "to put relationships to test."

And one of the many twists is that there are two houses, the VIP Upville and the Downlow house.

While Manita and Tecklar are representing Zimbabwe in the Downlow house, talented urban groover Roki will be rocking in the VIP Upville house among other six celebrity housemates the likes of DKB from Ghana (26), talented rap icon Prezzo from Kenya (32), award winning songstress Lady May from Namibia (25), dramatic pop music sensation Goldie from Nigeria (28), famed socialite, model and businesswoman Barbz from South Africa (34) and R&B diva Mampi from Zambia (25).

What remains to be seen at this juncture is how Big Brother will spice up the show. Is he going to merge the two houses or not and how real is the nomination show?

With Big Brother show only time will tell.

Another surprise twist in season seven of Big Brother is the inclusion of Sierra Leone and Liberia for the first time.

Other housemates are Eve and Edith who are sisters from Botswana, Ghana's controversial pair of Mildred and Keitta, Malawi's Nafe and Wati, Nigerians Ola and Chris who although they are partners in the house they vowed that they were never friends and South Africans Lee and Keagan.

With a US$300 000 winner prize on the table and a new format that sees contestants doubling up to play, the 91 day superseries is already shaping up to be exciting entertainment but this latest twist could take the game to an entirely different level.
